Isaiah 43:18-19
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
This song leans forward - trusting God is still moving.
Songs from a family walking with Jesus through real life.
Song
Written in a season of letting go - making space for what God is doing next.
Demo Recording
A simple recording kept close to the way it first arrived.
Demo recording
This song started as a letting-go prayer. It came from that in-between place where an old season is closing, the new one is not fully visible yet, and God keeps asking for trust.
The language of wilderness and readiness kept surfacing as we wrote. It became a way of agreeing with God before we could see the whole road - letting the past loosen its grip and making room for what He was doing next.
More than anything, it is a posture song: hands open, heart yielded, and a simple yes to His timing.

A simple demo recording we made to hold onto the song as it was taking shape in the room.
The first demo recording we kept as the song was beginning to take shape.
Jesus, help us let go of what is behind and trust the new thing You are doing. Meet us in the wilderness, make a way where we cannot see one yet, and have Your way in us completely. Make us ready for Your voice, Your timing, and Your plans. Amen.
